Day by Day
DAY 1 – Arrival in Buenos Aires
A driver from ATN Travel Services Travel Agency will meet you at the international airport in Buenos Aires and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to explore or relax. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and tango show in the most traditional and spectacular tango show in Buenos Aires: Madero Tango. Here you will be permitted to witness the magic of a place where singing, dancing and a spectacular meal mix within the walls of the classy, seductively beautiful lounge.
DAY 2 – in Buenos Aires
After breakfast you will take the half day city tour through Buenos Aires, a time that will allow you to discover a city with strong cultural contrasts exemplified by the varied architecture present in historical buildings, monuments, museums, theatres and open areas. In the afternoon, you will board on a boat trip to view the riverfront homes and admire the scenery on the Tigre Delta of Paraná: an exotic subtropical forest formed by thousands of small islands that can only be reached by water.
DAY 3 – in Buenos Aires – El Calafate
You will begin your tour to El Calafate from Buenos Aires airport and once you land in El Calafate a tourist guide from ATN Travel Services will be waiting for you with a sign with your last name on it to transfer you to your hotel in El Calafate town and giving you the exact pick up time for each tour. Check in and enjoy free time.
DAY 4 – in El Calafate
Breakfast in the hotel and departure for the full day tour entitled «Perito Moreno Glacier and Nautical Safari». On the tour, you will visit one of the greatest marvels of the world: the Perito Moreno Glacier, declared World Heritage.
You will begin the tour by going to the floating quay of the southern branch of the Argentinean Lake, where you will ride across the Ice Floe Canal up to the front of the Perito Moreno Glacier to see its typical ice slides. Then, you will come across the footbridges which are very near to the ice wall. There will be enough time for you to enjoy the glacier spectacle, and also be witness to the famous ice detachment phenomena, in which you can hear the hollow sounds of ice falling and thus becoming smaller floating glaciers. There are some experiences that leave marks in our lives, and watching the Perito Moreno is definitely one of them.
DAY 5 – in El Calafate
You will have breakfast in the hotel and after that our tour guide will pick you up to take you on the full day tour entitled “Rio de Hielos Express.” At the beginning of the tour, you will head to Punta Bandera pier to take a catamaran trip on the Argentine Lake. First, you will visit the northern part of the lake where you can observe the amazing icebergs floating adrift, and then you will see the fantastic Upsala Glacier where you will meet a spectacular Ice Barrier whose area of 800 square kilometers is equal to 4 times the City of Buenos Aires! After you pass the front wall of this glacier, the ride continues to see the highest glacier in the National Park, the Spegazzini Glacier where you also can observe the dry glacier and finally you will return through the Boca de diablo (Devil’s Mouth), which is the narrowest part of the lake . After this awesome boat trip, you will never forget El Calafate town and the Patagonia region. Fortunately, your films and photos will always remind you that it wasn’t a dream and that you certainly were there.
DAY 6 – in El Calafate – Ushuaia
You will begin your tour in Ushuaia taking off from El Calafate airport with a direct flight to Ushuaia. Once you land in that city, our tourist guide will transfer you to your hotel in Ushuaia.
DAY 7 – in Ushuaia
Breakfast in the hotel and departure on an adventurous full day tour entitled «Tierra del Fuego National Park with trekking and canoe ride» You will go for a two-and-a-half-hour trek along a path through the most beautiful part of the park, splitting your time between the woods and the shore. During the tour, you will observe a lot of flora formed by the massive trees as well as a great variety of birds native to these woods.
After the trek, you will board canoes and sail to the Beagle Channel. You will go up to Isla de Lobos and Isla Redonda while viewing the imperial cormorants. Continuing your tour, you will disembark on the Island to have a coffee break in a refuge where the native Yamaná Indian people used to live, while enjoying a spectacular view of the Beagle Channel. After the break, you will have some time to rest and in the early afternoon we will continue riding until you reach Lapataia Bay to see marine birds. Finally, you will return to Ushuaia by land at approximately 6 pm.
Note: The activity of Trekking and Canoeing in the Tierra del Fuego National Park is only available from October to March due to the nice weather conditions of our summer. After these months, the tour will be only with half day duration and without the trekking and canoeing.
DAY 8 – in Ushuaia
Breakfast in the hotel and a half day tour entitled «Catamaran trip in the Beagle Channel». Starting your tour, the catamaran will depart from the tourist pier. You will then sail along Isla de los Lobos, Isla de los pajaros and the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse where you can observe many species of local birds and seals. On one of these islands, it is also possible to observe pieces of the ship Monte Cervantes, which was shipwrecked in 1930. On the way back to Ushuaia, you will have a view of the beautiful Le Martial Mount and its glacier. This boat trip includes views of a combination of sea and mountains and is an incredible experience that will remain in your heart long after you have returned home.
We will pick you up again in your hotel in the afternoon to invite you on a city tour of Ushuaia. During this sightseeing tour in Ushuaia you will get to visit the legendary and ancient Jail of recidivists that preserves its impressive architecture as well as its tough history in the south of Argentina. You will also get to visit the harbour and Paseo del Centenario, a great viewpoint where you can take in the panoramic view of the mountains´ chains. After that, you will go to the Bebán house. This building was bought by catalogue in Sweden in 1911; it was one of the most ambitious houses in Ushuaia for a long time. You will also see all the first settlers’ houses. Finally, we will visit the city center and the restricted area of the naval base.
DAY 9 – in Ushuaia
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Return to Buenos Aires by plane. Our driver will receive you in Buenos Aires airport to transfer you to the hotel in Buenos Aires.
DAY 10 – in Buenos Aires
Escape the bustling streets of Buenos Aires and enjoy a full day of leisure in Buenos Aires countryside. You will be able to experience a Gaucho Party, including the typical barbecue, or asado, in the Argentinean pampas. Discover the traditional way of life there with a horseback ride, ranch tour, and an impressive horseman show by the gallant gauchos and watch a performance of folk song and dance.
DAY 11 – in Buenos Aires – Iguazu Falls
The tour to Iguazu starts departing from the Buenos Aires airport. Once you arrive in the Iguazu airport our tour guide will be waiting you to transfer you to your hotel and he will give you the information for all the exact pickup times for tours and transfers during your stay in this amazing destination. You will check in your hotel and will have free time in the afternoon for visiting and exploring the town on your own.
DAY 12 – in Iguazu falls
After breakfast, you will leave for a full day excursion to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. You will be guided around several paths inside the National Park to witness the incredible view of more than 200 falls, visiting the green way, the upper and lower catwalk and the devil’s throat paths using the forest train. The Great Adventure boat ride is an optional tour inside Iguazu falls National Park, which takes you for a ride around the falls – the boat even remains underneath an Iguazu fall! Around 5 pm you will return to the hotel in Puerto Iguazú.
DAY 13 – in Iguazu Falls – Buenos Aires
After Breakfast we will pick you up in your hotel in order to take you to the Brazilian Iguazu falls National Park which was declared a World Natural Heritage for being a natural reserve of paramount importance in South America. The main attraction is the contact with the great deal of fauna that can be seen through the light that enters the green roof of the rainforest as well as the world famous Iguazu waterfalls that form a circle of 2700 m of width around the four falls. Torrents of water, whose roar can be heard for miles, plunge some 250 feet down. The panoramic view is unbeatable since the walkway circuit is directly in front of the waterfalls. At the end of this half day tour you will return to the hotel in Iguazu and at scheduled time, transfer from hotel to airport. A driver will receive you in Buenos Aires airport to transfer you to the hotel in Buenos Aires.
DAY 14 – Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Check-out at noon. Transfer to the international airport at scheduled time. End of our services.
