Day by Day
DAY 1 – in Iguazú
Early flight to Puerto Iguazu from Buenos Aires. Upon arrival in Iguazu airport a tour guide will be holding a sign with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel and he will give you the information for all the exact pickup times for tours and transfers during your stay in Iguazu. You will check in your hotel and will have free time in the afternoon for visiting and exploring the town of Puerto Iguazu on your own.
DAY 2 – in Iguazú
After breakfast, we will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and you will leave for a full day excursion to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. Upon arriving at the Iguazú National Park, you will take part of the excursion by the jungle train, that goes through wonders of the park, allowing visitors to walk and access different footbridges. You will be guided around several paths inside the National Park to witness the incredible view of more than 200 falls, visiting the green way, the upper and lower trails where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the falls as well as the delta of the Iguazú River, with its islands and lush vegetation and the Devil’s Throat path that is the farthest situated but the most impressive fall At the end of the tour we will drop you off in the lobby of your hotel in Puerto Iguazú.
DAY 3 – in Iguazú
After breakfast and around 8 AM we will pick you up in your hotel to take you to the Brazilian Iguazu falls National Park which was declared a World Natural Heritage for being a natural reserve of paramount importance and home of countless species of animals and plants. Since the 80% of the waterfalls are on the Argentine side, Brazilian Park has a single catwalk where you can take advantage of different panoramic views. In front of Floriano waterfalls, there is a viewpoint which is accessible through an elevator, from there is obtained one of the most breathtaking views of the falls. After visiting the National Park we will visit the Das Aves Park which is located in the city of Foz do Iguazu. It will allow you to see rare and colorful tropical birds fly in large plant nursery integrated into the exuberant subtropical forest. Visitors have the opportunity to enter into the plant nursery and learn about bird life. In addition, it is also possible observe alligators, anacondas, boas, titi monkeys and butterflies. Around 6 PM we will drop you off in your hotel.
DAY 4 – in Iguazú y Salta
After breakfast transfer to the airport and direct flight to Salta. Once you land in Salta airport transfer to your hotel. Free time for the rest of the day.
DAY 5 – in Salta y Jujuy
Early in the morning we will pick you up as soon as you finish your breakfast to start the amazing tour entitled «Andean Trip»: This is a full day tour through the extreme north of the country taking the parallel route to «Tren a las Nubes» (Train to the Clouds), along roads that zigzag through hills, plains and the most incredible landscapes. We will go through the last town in the fertile Valley of Lerma, Campo Quijano and Quebrada del Toro. After that, we will make a short archeological trek in the pre-Inca city of Santa Rosa del Tastil. The tour goes on zigzagging between the sky and the plateau up to San Antonio de los Cobres, a naturally beautiful town where we stop for regional food (not included). In the afternoon, we will drive north to Purmamarca in the Province of Jujuy which has incredible views of scattered houses, and vicuna animals living in the Puna’s solitude. Also, we will see the impressive Salinas Grandes (Great Salt Mines), white salt extensions that -under the vibrant sun- constitute a real surrealist scene. We’ll stop for a walk there. Afterwards, we will go up to the top of the Cuesta del Lipán (Lipán Hill), where you will be surprised by the view of the Hill of the Seven Colours, one of the most incredible landmarks and tourist attractions in Argentina. Later, we will drive north to reach Purmamarca, a charming town with a handicraft market. After that, we will return to Salta.
DAY 6 – in Salta y Jujuy
Early in the morning and after breakfast we will leave in a full day excursion to Humahuaca Gorge (Quebrada de Humahuaca): This is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site because of its cultural landscape that keeps ten thousand years of history still alive in a spectacular 155-kilometer valley. The route will take you to Uquía, where we will see the colonial style church, the Pucará de Tilcara, where we will stop in Archaeological Museum and Humahuaca town, where we will see the Independence Monument and we will walk through narrow and cobblestoned streets, with streetlights and adobe houses, a perfect example of colonial times. In the afternoon, we will come back to Salta, stopping in the most charming villages and in San Salvador de Jujuy, in order to see the historical core of the city and its monuments. The tour ends again in Salta where you will spend the night.
DAY 7 – in Salta
Breakfast and a city tour in Salta. During this sightseeing in Salta we will able to go around the historic downtown through its colonial streets visiting the Cathedral, the San Francisco Church, the Town Hall, the Historic North Museum and the craft market. After that, you will go up to the top of San Bernardo hill in order to have a privileged panoramic viewpoint of the total extension of Valle de Lerma. Later, we will leave the city behind to visit San Lorenzo, a traditional summer town. Return to the hotel in Salta to pick up your luggage and transfer to the airport. Return to Buenos Aires in the evening. End of our services.
