Day by Day

DAY 1 – in Iguazu Falls

Early flight to Puerto Iguazu from Buenos Aires. Upon arrival in Iguazu airport a tour guide will be holding a sign with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel and he will give you the information for all the exact pickup times for tours and transfers during your stay in Iguazu. You will check in your hotel and will have free time in the afternoon for visiting and exploring the town of Puerto Iguazu on your own.

DAY 2 – in Iguazu Falls

After breakfast, we will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and you will leave for a full day excursion to the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. Upon arriving at the Iguazú National Park, you will take part of the excursion by the jungle train, that goes through wonders of the park, allowing visitors to walk and access different footbridges. You will be guided around several paths inside the National Park to witness the incredible view of more than 200 falls, visiting the green way, the upper and lower trails where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the falls as well as the delta of the Iguazú River, with its islands and lush vegetation and the Devil’s Throat path that is the farthest situated but the most impressive fall At the end of the tour we will drop you off in the lobby of your hotel in Puerto Iguazú.

DAY 3 – in Iguazu Falls

After breakfast and around 8 AM we will pick you up in your hotel to take you to the Brazilian Iguazu falls National Park which was declared a World Natural Heritage for being a natural reserve of paramount importance and home of countless species of animals and plants. Since the 80% of the waterfalls are on the Argentine side, Brazilian Park has a single catwalk where you can take advantage of different panoramic views. In front of Floriano waterfalls, there is a viewpoint which is accessible through an elevator, from there is obtained one of the most breathtaking views of the falls. After visiting the National Park we will visit the Das Aves Park which is located in the city of Foz do Iguazu. It will allow you to see rare and colorful tropical birds fly in large plant nursery integrated into the exuberant subtropical forest. Visitors have the opportunity to enter into the plant nursery and learn about bird life. In addition, it is also possible observe alligators, anacondas, boas, titi monkeys and butterflies. Around 6 PM we will drop you off in your hotel.

DAY 4 – in Iguazu Falls and Salta

After having Breakfast transfer to the airport and direct flight to Salta. Once you land in Salta airport transfer to your Hotel. In the afternoon around 4 PM we will pick you up in order to take a City tour. During this sightseeing in Salta we will be able to go around the Historic Downtown through its colonial streets visiting the Cathedral, the San Francisco Church, the Town Hall, the Historic North Museum and the craft market. After that, you will go up to the top of San Bernardo hill in order to have a privileged panoramic viewpoint of the total extension of Valle de Lerma. Later, we will leave the city behind to visit San Lorenzo, a traditional summer town. Come back to the Hotel in Salta.

DAY 5 – in Salta and Jujuy

A full day tour to Salinas Grandes and Purmamarca is an unforgettable experience that takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes of northern Argentina. Here’s a description of what you can expect on this tour:
The tour typically begins early in the morning, with a pick-up from your hotel or designated meeting point. From there, you’ll head out of the city and into the Andean foothills, where you’ll pass through a variety of landscapes ranging from lush green valleys to rocky canyons.
After a few hours of driving, you’ll arrive at the stunning Salinas Grandes, a vast expanse of salt flats that stretches for miles in every direction. The gleaming white surface of the flats reflects the bright blue sky, creating a surreal and otherworldly atmosphere that is simply awe-inspiring.
Here, you’ll have the opportunity to walk out onto the salt flats and explore this unique landscape up close. You can take photos of the stunning scenery, try your hand at salt harvesting, or simply take in the breathtaking views.
After spending some time at Salinas Grandes, the tour continues on to the picturesque village of Purmamarca, which is nestled at the base of the stunning Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of Seven Colors). Here, you’ll have time to explore the village and its colorful adobe buildings, as well as browse the local handicraft markets.
Throughout the day, your guide will provide informative commentary about the history and culture of the region, as well as pointing out interesting landmarks and natural features along the way.

DAY 6 – in Salta and Cafayate

A full day tour to Cafayate from Salta is a wonderful way to explore the stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage of northern Argentina. Here’s a description of what you can expect on this tour:
The tour typically begins early in the morning, with a pick-up from your hotel or designated meeting point in Salta. From there, you’ll set out on a scenic drive through the Calchaqui Valley, passing through picturesque villages, lush vineyards, and stunning red rock formations along the way.
As you make your way towards Cafayate, you’ll stop at several points of interest, such as the Quebrada de las Conchas, a dramatic canyon filled with towering rock formations and stunning natural colors. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to stretch your legs and take photos of the incredible scenery.
As you arrive in Cafayate, you’ll be struck by the beauty of this charming town, with its wide streets lined with colorful colonial buildings and its impressive central plaza. The town is also known for its wine production, so you’ll have the chance to visit a local winery and sample some of the region’s delicious wines.
After lunch, you can explore the town’s many artisan markets, where you’ll find a variety of handmade crafts, from textiles and pottery to jewelry and souvenirs.
As the afternoon draws to a close, you’ll begin your return journey to Salta, taking in more stunning views of the valley and the surrounding mountains along the way. Your guide will provide informative commentary throughout the day, sharing insights into the history, culture, and natural wonders of this beautiful region.

DAY 7 – in Salta

Recommendation:
Excursions in Salta can be long, with altitudes over 4500 meters and lasting more than 10 hours on a bus all day. It is important to be prepared for the effects of altitude changes, which can include dizziness and nausea.
